Neighbors Light is built on principles of transparency, accountability, and community-centered leadership.
Neighbors Light provides small, structured transitional housing for adults ready to stabilize and move forward. We focus on two pathways: medical respite for individuals recovering after a hospital stay, and workforce transition for individuals ready to return to work and build stability.
Our model fills a gap between hospital discharge, homelessness services, and long-term stability. We believe that structure, routine, and accountability are how recovery and employment become durable.
We focus on real, measurable outcomes. Our programs are designed around what actually works, not what sounds good.
We listen to people with lived experience, partner agencies, and community members. Decisions are made with input from those we serve.
We are open about our challenges, successes, and decisions. We believe accountability builds trust.
We treat everyone with respect. Our programs are designed to support people, not judge them.
We work with hospitals, clinics, service agencies, and community partners. No one solves homelessness alone.
Neighbors Light operates as a nonprofit organization with the following structure:
Provides governance, strategic direction, and oversight. Board members are volunteers who bring expertise from healthcare, nonprofit operations, workforce development, law, finance, and community leadership.
Manages day-to-day operations, program delivery, and staff management. Reports to the Board of Directors.
Delivers direct services including case management, housing support, employment services, and medical coordination.
We believe in inclusive decision-making that balances efficiency with community input:
